What is it?
This is a handgun OR rifle course. You choose one. You can join us for just 2 days, 3 days, or you can join us for the full 4 days.

This is a world-class firearms training facility that is “family” oriented and not a bootcamp type training. There will be over 600 students training with us that weekend and 50% of them will be ladies and teenage girls and boys…Grandma and Grandpas too. There’s nothing like family training time! Participants last year included an 11 year old girl, a 12 year old boy, a 72 and 73 year old grandmother, 6-7 law enforcement officers, one Navy SEAL, and everything in between! Training for all skill levels…beginners and advanced skill sets alike. This event is like a charity golf tournament, except it is a world class handgun course!
When is it?
March 6-9th, 2020 is the 7th Annual Sheila Hamed Charity Handgun/Rifle Course. All courses start on Friday March 6th, regardless of how many days you stay. Start putting your vacation requests in now!
What does it cost?
The cost of the course is just $200 ($2,000 value) plus a $50 donation to fight leukemia/lymphoma for a total of $250. If you have a membership at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute then your course is already paid for and you just send us a $50 donation to fight leukemia. It is a fun way to support a very, very worthy cause!
Where is the Charity Course held?
This course is held at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Nevada, about 45 minutes from Las Vegas. Most of us stay in hotels in Pahrump, NV which is about 14 miles from the training facility. An additional option is to stay in Las Vegas if you prefer.
Why do we hold the Charity Course?
There are not enough people in the national bone marrow registry to match everyone who is suffering from lymphoma, leukemia, and other blood cancers. This charity event will support and grow the bone marrow registry, fund research, and “literally” save lives! So if you would like to make a difference in this world, if you would like to help us save lives, if you would like to step out of your comfort zone, if you would like to add some adventure to your life that you will be talking about for the rest of the year…then I invite you to join us for this very worthy charity event!

Both hotels offer a discount when you book if you tell them that you are a “Front Sight student”. Both offer a nice buffet breakfast. Rates for Best Western average about $99/night and about $40 more at the Holiday Inn Express.

Neither hotel charges anything to your credit card until you check in, and both allow you to cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your reservation. Book early because the town will run out of hotel rooms about two months before the event.

Book your hotel reservation starting Thursday March 22nd. Everyone gets into town and checks into their hotel room Thursday afternoon/evening so that you are there and ready to start the course Friday morning.
What if I don't have a handgun or rifle?
Don’t have a gun and gear? No problem, the Pro Shop at Front Sight rents everything you need at very reasonable prices. In fact through this charity event you can get your gun & gear rental for ½ price.

Just $25/day which includes the firearm, holster or sling, magazines, magazine pouch and sturdy belt.
